One of Jenny's doctors tells her she's "too young" to get breast cancer.
Pink is an autobiographical play written by Jenny SaldaƱa, WAR's Community Coordinator. The play chronicles her own physical and emotional battle with breast cancer, from her diagnosis at age 34 through surgery and chemotherapy, and culminating in survivorship.
Jenny recovers in her hospital room after a mastectomy.
As the play progressed, Jenny relayed her experiences and struggles as a breast cancer patient in touchy—yet often funny—scenes.
The audience laughed in parts, and eyes welled with tears in others.
Overall, the play was a beautiful, moving glimpse into the life of a young woman with breast cancer.
